This is the first year I’m doing the No-Coast Craft-o-rama at the renovated Sears building, now called The Midtown Global Market. If you haven’t been there yet, this is a great excuse to get over there and see a really good urban renewal project. The old Sears building was a vacant hulk for years, and now it’s a gorgeous indoor market with everything from Japanese candies to big jugs of olive oil.
Here’s the scoop: the Rectangle Designs booth will be located at the north end of the building beyond the main market area. We are in a beautiful hallway with big windows in “section J.” If you enter the building through the main entrance that leads to the elevators and security desk, that is near the entrance to section J. I’ll have a ton of new stuff–lots of handmade gifty items sporting various Rectangle motifs that I don’t sell in stores. I’ve made some totes, pillows, ornaments and reusable gift bags that turned out really cute.
Time: Friday, Nov 30 3:00- 8:00 pm + Saturday, Dec 1 from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
There will be tons of great vendors, but veterans advise coming early to get the best selection.
Where: Midtown Global Market is located at Chicago and Lake St. in MPLS. Here is a map
Parking is available in the Midtown Exchange Ramp on 10th Ave S just north of Lake Street and at the parking meters to the west of the market off of Elliot Ave S and Lake Street. Parking is FREE at the meters from 5pm to 8pm on weekdays and is free for up to 3 hours on weekends at both the parking ramp and the parking meters!
